Welcome letter

Welcome to the 2021 Teaching Staff of level 5 & 6 programmes at Te Kupenga – Catholic Theological College (CTC)

I would like to extend a warm welcome to all teaching staff to the 2021 academic year and especially welcome new teaching staff; I hope you find your time with CTC rewarding. I would also like to acknowledge lecturers’ ongoing hard work, inspiration, creativity, care and commitment to all students.

It is your contribution that makes Te Kupenga – Catholic Theological College (CTC) a vibrant and vigorous tertiary institution that strives to be a true witness to Jesus and to participate in the mission of the Church. CTC encourages reflective and evaluative practice and aims to continue our culture of excellence and ongoing self-improvement.

In this Lecturer Manual you will find information that is designed to enhance your understanding of the processes and procedures at CTC.

In Section A, you will find administrative and teaching procedures. Copies of forms, including Student Evaluations and Lecturer Course Reviews are included in this section.

In Section B, you will find our academic teaching policies. Our policies and procedures for students can be found here on the main CTC website.

Section C comprises documentation from the quality management system that has been incorporated in the hope that this would help situate your contribution as a teacher into the wider organisation.

The Appendices has information on referencing and the New Zealand Qualifications Framework (NZQF). The NZQF table is to guide the assessment component of your course when papers are reviewed or when you are proposing alternative assessment.
