Applications must be received BEFORE the due date of the assessment (i.e. at latest the day before).
Medical reasons require a Medical certificate to Fr. O'Connor or Fr Duffy.
The normal longest extension is a week and in extraordinary circumstances it can be up to four weeks.
External, unpredictable reasons ("I have been summoned for Jury Duty") are given more weight than matters which are predictable or under your control ("I have several assessments due")
Submitting the application does not mean it is automatically granted.
The decision will be communicated via an email from the Dean to you and the lecturer.
